Dearest Gentle Reader,
Sacre bleu! Of course, the French went first.
(Heavily contested by the Italians, naturally).
Before I’d even properly announced the thing, the Elusive Author was pouring champagne at L’Ambassade Française de Hopeful Monster, Québec.
The French have always known how to begin a robust revolution – and like our beloved Joan of Arc, they fight their NERO SANGUE with courage, conviction, and a touch of holy defiance.
Word spread faster than an espresso-fuelled flamingo.
Within hours, Mango, Head of Translations here at The Daily Tremor, was besieged by pigeons (and, rather alarmingly, a few owls) delivering requests for inclusion from every linguistic quarter.
Mango, poor little thing, eventually surrendered. Do forgive her inconsistencies. If you’re up to date, you’ll know she’s lovestruck – and we’ve all known how that feels.
But love, like rebellion, has a rhythm of its own. And ours is different – fought not with barricades, but with brains that refuse to fit, bodies that misbehave, and spirits that keep insisting on wonder.
And inclusion.
We are not the disordered; we are translators of neural chaos.
Speaking of translators of chaos, Lady Hilary F. Had-Enough returns with The Weekly Oracle – her “regular feature that appears surprisingly infrequently.”
In it, she reminds us (with her earnest drama) that she predicted the arrival of a book series that would mirror our own condition. She may be insufferable to some, but she is always right.
A novel about someone living with FND and neurodivergence, a central character that refuses to stay quiet, with a mind that learns to live magically anyway.
The Hopeful Monster Trilogy could not have come sooner!
And because we believe in sharing good mischief when it finds us, this edition includes a complimentary copy of Hopeful Monster: The Awakening for every reader.
You get a book. You get a book. Everyone gets a book!

We’ve inserted the full review in this issue – along with Hilary’s triumphant, yet ethereal claim of clairvoyance.
So, dear reader, keep your courage close…
The Hopeful Monster Revolution is awakening indeed!

P.S. Percy has a passion for branding (need we say more?). We let him temp in the brand typesetting department – hence our ‘new look’. His begging, cleverly disguised as mimicry, was so maddeningly effective, we folded faster than a bad campaign pitch. Don’t complain. It will break his achy, breaky heart.
