SCANDAL! Neuroverse Redecoration Revelations

πŸ–‹οΈ Letter from the Editor

As published in The Daily Tremor

Dearest Gentle Reader,

Things have begun to shift in the Neuroverse.

Not suddenly.

Not carelessly.

But decisively.

There arrives a juncture when the sentimentality of preserving relics and customs β€” merely for the sake of that sentiment β€” not only no longer suffices, but also grows wearisome beyond endurance.

That point has been reached in the Neuroverse.

We thought it only proper to keep our citizens updated on the little redecorations underway.

Nothing dramatic.

Neither permit nor evacuation required.

The Character Gallery

We are merely rearranging the furnishings.

Certain pieces had grown cumbersome to navigate in daily life.

Others were heirlooms from bygone eras, ill-suited to the forms now inhabiting the chambers.

It may be true that a few remained eminently respectable, but placed and designed by those who had never deigned actually to sit upon them.

Hence, the Neuroverse Redecoration Sub-Committee has been most industrious.

Measuring with precision.

Lifting with resolve.

Rearranging with purpose.

Occasionally, standing back, heads inclined, concurring that when the time comes to rearrange the place a bit:

DOING SO IS NOT A BETRAYAL OF CHARACTER.

PERCY, Avian Intelligence Unit (AIU) Chief Whip, alas, was absent from the tableau, his duties confined to aerial surveying.

Redecoration scene

In the Neuroverse, where kind is coin and nice is a lump of coal, we value transparency. So rather than shuttering the doors and pretending nothing is happening, we invite you to survey the progress and see how things are coming along…

You may notice:

Books fallen from shelves (Click it to read)

Chairs, oddly suspended from the ceilings

Paintings upside down

And dust. An unreasonable amount of dust.

This is not chaos.

This is the process of re-decoration.

It is the scientific law of the Neuroverse:

The Law of Neuroplasticity.

The Law of Neuroplasticity

We can rearrange things a little and throw things out when living with them harms rather than serves.
