ποΈ Letter from the Editor
As published in The Daily Tremor, Vol. XXXII
Dearest Gentle Reader,
Word arrives, with no shortage of clattering teacups, of the emergence of one
Lady Hilary F. Had-Enough β
Parot Tarot prodigy (yes, naturally, the second r is silent).
What is this ‘Parot Tarot’, I hear you ask.
Well the readings of this curious deck have unsettled more than a few smug practitioners who believed all mysteries belonged to them alone.
Some whisper that her peculiar brilliance may even earn her a permanent post within
The Daily Tremor.
She is considering it β though she has also been overheard musing that certain ivory towers she’d still like to
β “shake it, shake it, shake it like a Polaroid picture”.
What a very strange thing to say.
The very possibility has caused as much tightening of collars in the boardroom as it has gasps of excitement in the town square.
Percy, however, seems to think the matter is settled.
According to him, Lady Hilaryβs rise is inevitable β and he is already rehearsing his victory squawk.
But then, Percy is sure of many things: that institutions should mind their hubris before declaring what they donβt understand β
β that neighbours should be fined for yapping dogs (and all proceeds be donated to that very yapping dogsβ treat allowance), and that the pearl-clutchers of society might do better to shuffle the deck themselves.
Whispers drift on the wind of this spicy fresh Parot Tarot phenomenon. (No judgment, else you will be escorted to the neuro-normative banquet).
Her talent appears as undeniable as it is inconvenient to certain bastions of medicine and academia β drawing both gasps and grumbles.
So we shall see…
As I always say βwatch β and decide for yourself:
Tonight, I draw back the velvet and uncase my most curious deck – its cards restless with secrets, its edges breathing dust and carnival smokeβ¦
The lantern flickers. The veil shivers. The deck has spoken…

THE HANGED MAN.
What omen stirs within this card?
To those who seek it, the Hanged Man murmurs: see anew. Gaze upon yourself not with cruelty but with kindness.Β While we fight to be seen, let’s dare to reconfigure our worlds’ even as it turns us upside-down.
For when the card tilts toward medicine, its message is sharper still: awaken.
Enough of the false labels, the psychiatric disguises, the cruel gaslight.
FND is not delusion but truth, and truth waits for no physician.
Learn. Listen. Support. Begin.
From the wings of shadow, Percy bristles, eyes glittering:
βHurry it upβor Iβll be forced to lob a cracker where the sun does not shine! SQUAWK! β
And so the carnival continues.
The smoke coils, the cards whisper.
What face shall turn upward next?
What strange counsel shall slip from the deck?

Famous Parot Tarot Medium to the Neurospicy & Neuro-Curious
Yes indeed, the Deck Has Spoken β and its gossip appears deadlier than gin.
When the next card is drawn, dearest gentle reader⦠might it bear your name?
Suspense lingers.
We’ll just have to wait and see…
Yours in feathers, folly, and foresight,
