She built an entire sovereign territory of neurodivergent experience and then made herself the hardest person in it to locate.

It is, as she would tell you herself, a completely reasonable response to a world that has never quite known what to do with her.
Meet the architect of the Neuroverse.
She is its loudest resident.
Its most embarrassing incident.
And its emotional spine.
The NBC works for her.
This is not a detail she will remind you of.
It is, however, a detail the NBC has never forgotten.
The Elusive Author is a contradiction in motion. She will confirm this herself, uninvited, at conversational distance.
The exterior holds. The posture is deliberate. The laugh is large and genuine and arrives in rooms before she does. What the exterior does not advertise is the interior: considerably louder, running approximately 42 emotional weather systems simultaneously, and entirely unbothered by opinions on this arrangement.
She has FND. Therefore, her nervous system processes the world at full volume with no factory-fitted mute button. She did not plan the plot twist.
She admits that decades in corporate was killing the fairy to eat. So she left. And built a sovereign neurodivergent territory from a mountaintop with a rescue dog, a playlist prescription pad, and a growing conviction that her own survival was worth spying on.
She is still building.
This is the first transmission.
Before the Neuroverse. Before the NBC. Before the territory had a name or a flag or a sovereign.
This is the Elusive Author at the threshold: the moment the diagnosis landed and she picked up a phone, because she had no other way to say what was happening to her.

The Elusive Author attended. She was, by all accounts, a great deal to be in a room with. This is consistent with all available field data.

The Elusive AuthorShe is brutally honest. She says the thing no one else will say and then quietly makes sure you are alright. She has almost no social filter, an unusually high tolerance for her own failure, and an even higher tolerance for yours.
She is crass and classy in the same sentence. Confident and quietly insecure in the same breath. Generous to the point of personal cost, and occasionally, briefly, judgmental — though she will have already forgiven you before the judgment has fully formed.
She absorbs emotional labour the way other people absorb weather: automatically, constantly, and at some cost to her own system. She has been told, on multiple occasions and by credible sources, to stand back. She has not stood back. The credible sources have stopped being surprised by this.
She answers only to The Field.

With a nervous system that refused to be quiet, a diagnosis that arrived uninvited, and a woman who decided: characteristically, loudly, without asking permission: that the experience was worth making into something.

Or rather, it was precisely a metaphor, deployed with the full force of someone who has worn too many of them and has decided, at considerable personal cost, to stop.

Ms Prudence Spank-Bottom ESQ brings formidable legal authority to the Neuroverse and a whip of considerable renown. Her zygotic twin, Ms Nigella Pawson, wields a whisk. Analysts have been unable to determine which twin rules with which implement. Both deny everything.

Analysts have observed a recurring operational sequence. The Elusive Author arrives. She invests fully: presence, attention, resources, the particular quality of care that makes people feel temporarily less alone. She participates for connection and usefulness. She leans in.
And then she is gone.
This is not abandonment. This is a woman who has spent most of her operational life organised around a framework of being needed, and who is still, with characteristic honesty, working out what she is for when that framework is not currently active. The disappearances are not exits. They are a woman in motion between purposes, which is one of the most honest things a person can be.
The NERO SANGUE have attempted to exploit this pattern. They have found it considerably less exploitable than anticipated. She always comes back. She always comes back louder.
